Halftime Report

Well, being only a 62 game season, we are nearing the midway point of this wacky NBA year. If you haven't been keeping up with the league as I employed you guys, then shame on you. If the use of the word wacky was a bit unneeded and out-of-style, then shame on me. Nonetheless let's see what has sprung among us in the world of professional basketball.

  Are these guys the best?

Granted, with their young demeanor, and under-dog silhouette, it makes it easy to talk about, and get hyped about them, no matter their actual talent.

But this is not the case.

In my eyes, these guys have the purest all around team that the NBA has to offer. Reminiscing a  Mavericks-esce play style. That being a full offense that is centered around one player, yet plays like a team of equal talent. Their all about the basics of good strategy, portioned with great talent. Especially with the addition of Perkins at center. I look to see this team win the Western Conference Finals with 98% certainty. With that 2% being a deathly aneurism by each member of the team or another outbreak by a certain team I'm partial to.........Mavs................................moving on...

"King" Lebron got the edge in this years MVP race?

My quick answer: no. My medium answer: It's going to take a lot out of me, especially with his current player surroundings scenario, to give Lebron any Most Valuable Player title.  Long answer: I truly think, objectively and with unbias, that Kobe has shown himself to be the best that is playing. Blaming it on his selfishness is a bit out of taste, as he has been doing that most of his career and still is one of the greatest to play the game, and really hasn't hindered his championship count. Don't get me wrong, I'm not partial to Kobe at all, but in terms of how he is helping his team, AND pure performance that has been shown; he is currently the best.

No matter best or worst, even with a delay, this sport has still rung true as being a pure force in the sports world. As I've said before, my main goal is to urge everyone to understand why this league can be taken fully to heart, as they definitely entertain.

With everything from uprising teams, to altering trades, to: "who is this Jeremy Lin?", to wacky plays...this season has shown no different. And with that, I leave you with my favorite moment thus far of the year.....Blake Griffin too good??
